Maulānā Mamlūk ‘Alī [d. 1267/1851]

This great scholar of fiqh, Arabic language and other sciences, was among the students of Maulānā Rashīduddīn Khān (the student of Shāh ‘Abdul ‘Azīz), whose own students included many famous personalities such as Maulānā Muḥammad Qāsim Nanauthwī, Maulānā Rashīd Aḥmad Gangohī, Maulānā Muḥammad Ya‘qūb Nanauthwī, and Maulānā Muḥammad Maẓhar the Dean of Maẓāhir al-‘Ulūm. He died on 11th Dhu’l-Ḥijjah 1267/1851 and was buried next to Shāh Walīullah in Delhi.
